Public Art

Today we say goodbye to Echo, a sculpture by Jaume Plensa.

During the past few months she has brought a sense of calm to me in Madison Square Park in NYC. At least once a week I would enjoy her beauty while eating my lunch or simply taking a walk through the park to escape the concrete chaos.

I'm in love with public art. Thank you NYC for allowing artist to decorate our landscape in this chaotic city if even for a few months.

What brings you calm while you are surrounded by your chaos?
Have you been moved by any public art recently?

Boise commissioned artists to paint the power boxes for the traffic lights & I love it- they're all different. My fav this week was the graffiti art.. . Xo Shannon from flying lessons
